Olufunke Omasan created Studio Mayó magazine in Nigeria out of the passion she has for print media and publishing. She was an eager and early registrant for Magazine Training International’s upcoming training event in Ghana. “Magazine training is needed across Africa,” says Olufunke. “Ghana is a great location.”
The Introduction to Magazine Publishing course will cover the essentials of magazine publishing, including management, design, and editing. “I’m ever down for innovations, events, and networking opportunities within this field,” says Olufunke.
Magazines, both digital and in print, are powerful tools for Christians answering the Great Commission and encouraging fellow believers. MTI provides practical training to make sure those called to the ministry of publishing have the tools they need to succeed.
At the conference, Olufunke hopes to see increased insight in strategic print media to spur ministers and those called to print media, “into a level that is functional in raising the cause of God’s redemptive purposes on earth.”
Donate today to join Magazine Training International and Christians in publishing like Olufunke in establishing a capable publishing industry in Africa that joins in “God’s redemptive purposes on earth.”
