Some expenses for which funding is needed:

  • $1,500 scholarships for 30 participants ($50 each)
  • $1,200 Printing of textbooks and other conference materials in English and French
  • $900 Meeting rooms
  • $600 Banquet/graduation ceremony
  • $1,100 Coffee breaks for participants and trainers for six days
  • $800 Half-day sightseeing trip and lunch for trainers (All are volunteers)
  • $10,000 Other so far unfunded expenses, including travel and conference expenses onsite

The Introduction to Magazine Publishing course and Hands-on Workshop will be held in Accra, Ghana, November 13-18, 2022. This is the third conference in our MTI in Africa program. The first was in 2018 in Kenya, and the second was in Côte d’Ivoire in 2019. The training will be presented in English with simultaneous interpretation into French.
