Christians in less-resourced areas of the world are not afraid of a challenge. They heard God’s call to begin a magazine and they answered. No experience in publishing? No problem. He will provide the opportunity to learn and wisdom along the way.
Christian leaders by the thousand obeyed the call and God is using their courage and faithfulness to make an impact on their communities. Christian publishers recognize that even though distribution of their publications is difficult during a pandemic, their readers need the message of Christ now more than ever.
At the beginning of the year Magazine Training International encouraged Christians in publishing to find creative ways to continue their ministries—and they delivered! You can read their stories of creative ministry outreach here:
- People need hope.—Gökhan Talas, Miras Publishing Ministries, Turkey
- A pandemic-inspired opportunity.—Francis Ayieko, The Shepherd, Kenya
- Moving forward during lock-down in Uganda.—Emmanuel Manishimwe, Hope Community Action Africa, Uganda
- Nothing catches God by surprise.—Lara Odebiyi, Dabira, Nigeria
Magazine publishing in a less-resourced country is always challenging, but COVID-19 has magnified the thorny issues facing Christians in publishing.
