Years ago, Norma Laing felt called to launch The Hourglass Magazine International, a publication with a heart for reaching marginalized communities in the church. But after producing just one issue, she realized the challenges were greater than she had anticipated. Without the right skills, guidance, or support, she didn’t know where to begin—and her vision had to be paused.

That all changed when Norma attended a Magazine Training International conference in Ghana. There, she received practical, Christ-centered training in every aspect of magazine publishing. From design and editing to distribution and ministry strategy, Norma gained the tools—and the confidence—she needed to step back into her calling. She now feels prepared to relaunch her magazine, equipping it to bring hope, encouragement, and truth to communities that have often been overlooked.
