In the United States, most publishers have everything they need to produce a professional, high-quality magazine—reliable printing options, consistent funding, and freedom to publish without fear. But in many parts of the world, Christian publishers face a very different reality.

As Lamar Keener, executive director of Magazine Training International and the Evangelical Press Association, shares in this video message, magazine publishers in less-resourced countries often work with tremendous obstacles. Some lack access to affordable printing or distribution. Others have unreliable electricity or outdated technology. Most face funding shortages—or even persecution for proclaiming the name of Christ.

And yet, they persevere.

Despite these challenges, they remain faithful to their calling: to use the written word to point readers to the hope and truth of Jesus Christ. Their passion to communicate the Gospel is unwavering—but they cannot do it alone.

That’s where you come in.

When you give to Magazine Training International, you become one of the “friends” from Luke 5—the ones who lifted the paralyzed man through the roof and laid him at Jesus’s feet. Your generosity helps lift up Christian publishers who face enormous challenges, providing them with the training, community, and encouragement they need to continue sharing the Good News through their magazines.

Your support makes it possible for MTI to offer online courses, workshops, and resources that equip publishers with practical skills and spiritual strength to thrive in their ministries. Together, we can help them overcome barriers—and bring Christ’s message to readers in places where hope is needed most.

Watch Lamar’s message and see how your partnership helps carry Christian publishers to Jesus—empowering them to reach their nations for Christ.
