Chehayed’s family is from Syria and Lebanon; giving her a unique insight into the trials faced by the refugees she is working to help. Through her writing, photography, and efforts connecting journalists and other visitors with the faces behind the refugee crisis, Chehayed brings their stories to light each day. Chehayed is currently pursuing her second Master’s degree in Communications, studying with the Universite de Toulon France, and writing her thesis on cinema and collective memory. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization working in nearly 100 countries.
