Melissa Harrison is a broadcast journalist with more than 20 years of experience in television and radio news. Melissa serves as the senior programs manager for The Media Project, overseeing their Latin America Journalism Institute in Chile; The Asia Pacific Journalism Institute in Indonesia, and TMP’s flagship program, the Leaders and Fellowship Program held annually at the Poynter Institute. She is a professor at Texas Christian University and continues to report for NBC5-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth. She holds a
Master’s in Journalism from Columbia University and a BA in Spanish and Communications from Baylor University.
