Joseph Benjamin
Joseph Benjamin is publisher of Gujarati Christians, a magazine for the Christians of Gujarat in India. He also publishes books and is working on a translation of the New Living Bible from English into Gujarati. The magazine arose out of a website Benjamin launched in 2000 in response to persecution, famine, and floods in the area. Although the site was created for Christians, many non-Christians also use the site, which provides evangelistic articles, prayers, tracts, and other resources. The website attracted more than 500,000 visitors from around the world in its first year of existence. The high demand for additional content led Benjamin and his wife, Neeta, to create the Gujarati Christians magazine in 2007. Benjamin also offers adult literacy and vocational training to poor, rural women.
