Raised in a Muslim family, Gökhan Talas met Jesus at the age of 20 after a difficult period that included arrest and torture because of his political views. He attended Filipus Bible School, where years later he served as director. After graduation, he worked at a Christian radio station as program writer and radio-evangelist, and in 2006 he and his wife moved to Malatya , Turkey. It was there that five Muslim extremists raided the office where he worked, torturing and killing three Christian colleagues. Shortly afterwards, he and his wife began a Christian publishing ministry and Gökhan became broadcast manager of SAT-7 TÜRK TV channel. In 2012, Gökhan and his wife established Miras Ministries, now one of biggest media ministries in Turkey.
