art of the edit

I attended the Introduction to Magazine Editing online course with so much enthusiasm as I needed to upgrade my editing skills. The experience was indeed a rewarding one for me.

The dedication of the course facilitators and their mode of delivery was the beginning of my learning experience. I noticed a blend of both consistency and competence in the course organization and coordination. This further heightened my curiosity in the learning journey.

A key takeaway and immediate action point for me was to pay keen attention to leads and conclusion, which largely determine the readability and impact of an article. I have since implemented this in a couple of articles I have written and edited, and the results were worth the learning.

The simple and succinct feedback on the assignment and discussions were also very useful and formed an integral part of my learning experience during the training.

In a nutshell, the magazine editing course by Magazine Training International opened a new and better phase in my writing and editing experience and career. I hereby recommend the MTI courses to both existing and intending writers and publishers in order to gain firsthand knowledge on global best practices in magazine management.
