Gary Chapman began his professional career at a small Florida newspaper. He has been on the photo staff of The Tampa Tribune, The Fort Myers News-Press, The Louisville Courier-Journal and Sunday Magazine. His work has been published in Life, Geo, and National Geographic publications, and in many books of the Day in the Life series. He left newspapers, but not his photojournalism roots, to freelance and take on humanitarian assignments for non-profits, NGOs, and corporations. This work has taken him to more than 80 countries. He continues to cultivate both editorial and commercial clients.
