Do you need someone to produce an illustration or photograph for your publication?
One of the first steps should be an “Image Request Form,” which is a written agreement sent to the person you ask to produce an illustration or photograph.
Composing your request in writing (usually after a personal meeting, phone call, or virtual meeting) will help:
- assure that you communicate clearly and accurately.
- clarify responsibility in a situation in which the request was not properly completed.
- give both artist and art director a document to which they can refer.
